Through her work as a facilitator, Emily focuses on using drama to support young people's personal development and self-expression.
She has worked with several organisations throughout London and the UK, starting in 2022 when she joined the facilitator team at Tender Arts and Education. Tender use drama to explore healthy relationship boundaries with young people with the aim of preventing domestic and sexual abuse. Through her work with Bigfoot Arts Education, she has delivered anti-bullying programmes as well as creating her own drama workshops for young people. From 2023 to 2025, she worked as a director on DreamArt's Experiment programme, devising new shows with young people in West London, as well as supporting the delivery of City Lions' SEND pilot of their Project 8 programme.
As of 2025, Emily has worked at head of the Learning and Participation department at Omnibus Theatre, leading coordination and planning of a range of community-centred theatre-making project and developing the department to improve access to the arts.
During her time as a facilitator, Emily has worked in a wide variety of settings and has delivered and devised programmes to suit the needs and goals of the young people she works with. She especially enjoys creating an environment in which participants feel comfortable and confident sharing their ideas, exploring their creative processes and asking questions. She has also worked extensively with young people with SEND and is committed to creating accessible arts environments for all.
